Dr Karan Elliott

FRACGP, DRANZCOG, DCH, MBBS (Hons), Cert FPAA

Dr Karan Elliott graduated with honours from Sydney Uni medical school and has worked in many areas of Australia and overseas – including Kenya, South Africa, Bathurst and Northern Territory (particularly with Indigenous communities).

Her honours work included diabetes, and she has published articles in this area, along with women and children’s health.

With a strong background in obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr Karan works in conjunction with all local hospitals and specialists for Antenatal Shared Care.

Sexual and fertility/contraceptive medicine are other areas where Dr Karan has post-graduate qualifications and experience. She offers medical termination of pregnancy and is also qualified for insertion/removal of IUD (Mirena and copper) and Implanon devices.

With additional training in paediatrics and three young children of her own, Dr Karan is an ideal fit for families.

Originally from Sydney, Dr Karan and her family are now proud locals.

Dr Shibli Sharif

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Sharif has recently returned from working overseas in the UK and the Middle East. He is welcoming new patients and has extensive knowledge in all areas of general practice. Dr Sharif also performs vasectomies.

Dr Sharif does not offer bulkbilling Monday mornings.

Dr Mubashar Sherazi

MBBS, FRACGP, FARGP, MRCGP (int) (UK)

Dr. Mubashar Sherazi is a highly skilled and experienced specialist General Practitioner with an impressive array of medical qualifications from around the world.
Dr. Sherazi moved from Canada to Australia in 2017. There, he undertook the Certificate in Emergency Medicine (Cert EM) from the Royal Australian College of Emergency Medicine. Following this, he joined Mallacoota Medical Centre, Mallacoota, VIC, participating in the Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS) for his General
Practitioner fellowship training.
Notably, he was one of the dedicated GPs serving during the 2019 bushfires in Mallacoota, VIC. In response to the crisis, Dr. Sherazi authored two books, "The Day Mallacoota Turned Red" and "Mallacoota Memoirs of Recovery," demonstrating his commitment to supporting the local community.
In 2020, he admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He subsequently pursued advance rural skills training in Child health. He was awarded with a second fellowship FARGP in Child Health.
Driven by a particular interest in child health, Dr. Sherazi graduated from the Sydney Child Health Program (SCHP) at the University of Sydney in 2021.
Dr. Sherazi's outstanding clinical work earned him recognition from The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, culminating in the prestigious "The Rural GP in Training of the Year Award 2021."

His dedication to comprehensive care is further underscored by completing various training including mental health like Focused Psychological Strategies Skills (FPS) training.
He recently completed RACGP Certificate in Primary Care
Dermatology. He conducts detailed skin cancer checks. He also performs skin procedure including skin cancer excisions.

Dr. Sherazi has a broad scope of practice and he has interest in health promotion and prevention of chronic disease.

Dr Iftikhar Hafeez

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Hafeez comes to us with a wealth of surgical and general practice experience. Having worked rurally and at the Canberra Hospital, Dr Hafeez has a wide range of knowledge in a variety of settings.

He has a particular interest in surgical procedures including skin grafts and skin flaps as well as detection and removal of skin cancers. Dr Hafeez also performs vasectomies.

Dr Kelechi Edgar Nnajide

MBBS, FRACGP, AMC, FPS

Dr. Kelechi Nnajide completed his general medical training in 2000 and possesses extensive knowledge as a general practitioner, having worked in both hospital and outpatient settings.

He warmly welcomes new patients and has a keen interest in all areas of General Practice.

Dr. Kelechi Nnajide offers a range of mental health services, including mental health assessments, diagnosis, and care plans. He has expertise in managing complex PTSD, prescribing ADHD medication, and providing other relevant treatments. In addition, Dr. Kelechi is certified in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporates Focused Psychological Strategies during consultations.

Dr. Nnajide also specialises in Skin Cancer Diagnosis and Management. He holds a Certificate in Practical Dermoscopy from the Australian College of Dermatology and a Professional Certificate in Dermoscopy from HealthCERT Education. These certifications highlight his expertise and knowledge in effectively diagnosing and managing skin cancer cases.

With his comprehensive training and qualifications, Dr. Kelechi is well-equipped to provide accurate skin cancer assessments, implement appropriate management strategies, and offer guidance throughout the treatment process. Dr Jani completed his medical training at the University of Leicester, UK. He completed his GP training across London and has worked as a GP in Central London before moving to Australia.

Dr Ko-Chin Chen

FACRRM, MBBS, PhD

Dr. Ko-Chin Chen completed his medical fellowship training in Canberra and rural
NSW following graduation from Australian National University Medical school. His
current clinical works include emergency department, rural hospital inpatient
care, and medical clinics. He also supervises junior medical officer and provides
guidance to Flinders University medical students.
His current medical research focus is on the developmental changes associated
with endothelin receptor B mutation (EDNRB), a cause of Hirschsprung’s disease
affecting certain paediatric populations.
He grew up in Taiwan and Canada but has been in Canberra for over 13 years. He
enjoyed working in different parts of remote Australia over the past few years
and likes to learn different aspects of local practices. He is happy to treat snake
bite, box jelly fish sting, or others; however, if you suffer these types of injuries,
he would strongly recommend you to call an ambulance and present to
emergency department first.
Overall, he enjoys all types of medicine and hope to help patients find the best
solution for their problems.

Dr Macrina Ige

MRCGP, MBBS

Dr. Ige is a highly qualified and experienced GP who has recently joined Belconnen Mall Medical Centre.
Dr. Ige is committed to providing personalised, patient-centered care to each of her patients, and believes in treating the whole person, not just their symptoms. She is known for her compassionate and empathetic approach, and is dedicated to working collaboratively with her patients to help them achieve optimal health and wellbeing.
